1. How long does it take to create a new website?

The three main factors governing how quickly we can create your website are:-

• the size, complexity & features of your site
• whether the content (text, images, etc) is already prepared & readily available
• how quickly you can respond with your comments & views during development

In urgent circumstances we can create and publish your site in two weeks, but as a rule of thumb the process usually takes four to eight weeks.

2. How much does a website cost?

At the proposal stage we set out the cost of creating a website to meet your specific requirements. This will vary according to the nature of your project and the services you choose, but as a guide, a "brochure" style website consisting of six or seven pages, individually designed for your brand, would cost around £500. Larger sites and those using databases, Flash, eCommerce or very extensive graphics would cost more.

Alternatively, if you prefer to pay for our services by the hour or day, we can charge on that basis.

3. What kind of websites can 4inotech.com design?

4inotech.com can produce websites ranging from simple "brochure" style sites (e.g. for individuals or very small businesses) consisting of a few pages to sophisticated database-driven eCommerce sites using Flash for larger organisations. Contact us if you'd like to talk over your requirements.

Certainly - we offer high-performance, secure, reliable hosting for your website.

5. Can you arrange email services?

Yes, we offer email services with spam-filtering, virus-checking, auto-responders and webmail facilities all included.

4inotech.com offers a range of affordable internet services built upon a solid foundation of website design. We also offer hosting, email, domain name services, eCommerce, SEO, consulting, copywriting and ongoing site management.

We can provide as much or as little as you need - whether you just want a website designed for you but can handle everything else yourself, or whether you want us to take responsibility for all aspects of your online presence.

7. Can 4inotech.com refresh my current website?

We can help in several ways - we can review your website and report on its effectiveness, we can make recommendations for improvement, and we can go on to redesign it if you wish.

8. What's the process for creating a new website?

4inotech.com has a comprehensive approach to creating websites for our clients. We usually use the full process for larger, more complex projects but tend to use a cut-down version for simpler projects.

9. Do we need to meet face-to-face?

We prefer to meet you in person if possible - we realise most clients are very busy so we try to meet you for a relaxed discussion at your place of work if we can. This helps us get a feel for your situation.

If it's not possible to meet then we're also very happy to work with you by phone & email throughout your project. Either way, we always like to establish a good understanding of your business from the outset.

10. How do I review the progress of my website?

When your project begins we set up a special private website for you to log progress and that holds comprehensive records & documentation.

Throughout the development process we like to keep in close touch with you and we hold regular reviews to keep the project on track.

11. How can customers buy my products through my website?

There are several ways that we can enable your website for Ecommerce, depending on the kind of products that you sell, their values and the method of payment. As well as building a secure eCommerce website for you, 4inotech.com also has the skills and management experience to help you implement it within your business.

12. Can you update my website on an ongoing basis?

Once your website has been launched 4inotech.com can modify & update it for you as your business changes. We can make a regular arrangement with you or carry it out on a "pay as you go" basis.

We can also build your website in a way that allows you to securely update certain aspects yourself with no technical knowledge and from any PC.

13. Can you use my company brochure as the basis for a website?

Although web design differs from print design in a number of ways, we can use your existing company brochure for several purposes - to match your business's brand & colours for example, or as a source of photographic images. Often the text content in your brochure is suitable for use in your website too.

14. How do I obtain a website address?

4inotech.com will also handle your internet domain name registration. We'll advise you on the best available domain names for your business and whether to register multiple domain names to protect your brand & reputation. When we register a domain name for you it will always be in your own name so you have complete rights to it.

15. How can my website help me communicate with my customers?

As well as using clickable email links (e.g. "info@4inotech.com") we can design a form for your visitors which automatically sends an email from the website to your chosen address. Our own "contact" page is an example.

4inotech.com can also provide other facilities to help you communicate with your customers :-

• a service which alerts you as someone visits your website so that you can actually communicate with them as they browse your site
• set up a newsletter service so you can easily email all your customers
• create a chat room for your website so that you & your customers can meet each other online

16. How can I measure visitor numbers to my website?

4inotech.com can provide you with a lot of useful information about how your website is used. For example, we can tell you how many people visited the various pages of your site, and what they looked at when they visited it. We can also tell you how your visitors arrived at your site.

17. How does my site get listed on search engines?

4inotech.com uses a blend of strategies and techniques to help secure the highest possible ranking position on the major search engines. We'll build the most appropriate metadata into your web pages, research the best search terms for your business, code your site's pages in a "search friendly" manner, and submit your site to all the key free search engines and web directories.

18. What are 4inotech.com's payment terms?

At the proposal stage of our process we set out the cost structure of the project, broken down into essential and optional modules.

We charge a proportion of the cost when you accept our proposal. Staged payments are made as key phases of the work are completed, then a final payment when your website goes live.

We usually charge for the complete work of creating a website but if you prefer to pay for our services by the hour or day we can charge on that basis instead.
